'X-Men : Apocalypse' and 'X-Men : Days Of Future Past' Has Connection And May Include Cable & Psylocke

20th Century Fox is looking to increase the output for its X-Men movie crop and fast. Confirmed earlier this week, X-Men: Apocalypse has begins shooting in April for a May 2016 release, Before Days of Future Past even hit theaters, Apocalypse was given a 2016 release date, returning behind the scenes is Bryan Singer, the director of X-Men: Days of Future Past. It was a smart decision by 20th Century Fox to take Singer return to the director’s chair, because the Days of Future Past resulted in a big hit among critics and at the box office.

But somehow, even with the massive size of the cast of X-Men: Days of Future Past, Apocalypse is being touted as being "bigger" and it might need to be since it will serve as an end of sorts for this younger core team and their story set in the past. So far, the director has confirmed that Apocalypse will be a direct followup to Days of Future Past – rounding out the First Class trilogy in the process – and that it will be another period piece, this time set in the 1980s instead of the ’70s (like Days of Future Past) or ’60s (First Class).

Speaking with Yahoo however, Simon Kinberg answered fan questions about Days of Future Past and Apocalypse and emphasized that the next film will focus squarely on continuing the “past” (First Class) portion of story, and reiterated that they would have to recast the original characters to include them. As for the new characters we met in the future portions of X-Men: Days of Future Past, Kinberg says we could potentially see them down the road again in other X-Men films.

"The thrust of ‘Apocalypse’ is really to complete the trilogy we began with First Class – to complete the stories of young Raven, young Hank, younger Charles and Erik. And complete this trilogy of four people who began the films sort of disparate and in different worlds… [and who] we’ve followed through the span of decades. So that’ll be the thrust. There will be familiar characters and new characters that we haven’t seen… ever… but it’ll be the completion of what we began in First Class"
The more interesting topic when it comes to X-Men: Apocalypse however, is the characters it will feature. We’ve heard the hints and ideas of Singer and Kinberg potentially including younger versions of original X-Men Cyclops, Jean Grey and Storm, but he’s also namedropped Gambit and Nightcrawler as characters of interest. We know Channing Tatum is all but confirmed to be playing Gambit down the road and it’s possible he’s first introduced in Apocalypse, and as for Nightcrawler, we may finally see his origin played out since in Marvel Comics, he’s the son of Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence).

We do know that Apocalypse, as for other new characters, Simon Kinberg happens to be interested in this two mutant, we may see Cable, the time-travelling mutant and also the future son of Cyclops, and Psylocke, the telepathic ninja. Cable almost made it into X-Men: Days of Future Past believe it or not. That last part just became a lot more relevant and likely given the news last week that Fox is going ahead with Deadpool movie, also in 2016, since Deadpool and Cable shared a Marvel Comics series together.
"She’s(Psylocke) a fan favorite, and also a favorite of mine. We have a small part that she plays in ‘Last Stand’, and we talked about including her in ‘DOFP’ quite seriously actually. There was a version of the script she was in and we even auditioned some actors in Montreal. But we didn’t feel there was enough of a part she would play in a movie that was already full of many, many mutants.
“She has a cool power. I know Bryan thinks she’s a neat character so there’s certainly a chance she’ll be in an X-Men movie some day. Hopefully there’ll be a lot of X-Men movies and there’s lot of mutants we’re yet to fully explore onscreen, even if they’ve had cameos before. Now we’re making more films there’s a chance to dig deeper.”

Psylocke
“We also talked about including him in ‘DOFP’. I will say, we love the character, we’d love to find a place for him in these movies, but I cannot confirm or deny which characters will actually be in ‘Apocalypse’ until I read some spoilers!”

Prometheus 2 Casting News [CONFIRMED]

Damon Lindelof
We're nearing the one year mark since Prometheus hit theaters last June and in the past month and half I've heard some concerning news, followed by some confusing news. At first I heard that Prometheus 2 was struggling to find a story, which was quickly debunked by Prometheus co-scribe Damon Lindelof, when he personally put the rumor to rest. However, today we have some more positive news for those eager for the Prometheus sequel!

According to the source, Scott Ridley, Scott has met several times in person with British actor Rik Barnett, about having him play a key supporting role in the second Prometheus installment. The source adds that Rik's potential role could be
Scoot Ridley
connected to Noomi Rapace's character (Elizabeth Shaw). The source is actually an individual, who wanted to remain anonymous. 24-year old Barnett is on the cusp of up-and-comer status, having won an award at the 2010 Ibiza International Film Festival for his performance in Rebels Without a Clue. He is said to be in consideration to portray someone connected to Elizabeth Shaw (Noomi Rapace) in the Prometheus sequel. The source also mentioned that until the script is finalized, anything is possible and nothing is final, but they do hint at the strong possibility that Rik Barnett will have some kind of role in Prometheus 2. Lastly, the who will also remain anonymous has just confirmed this news to me, the initial post, nothing is yet set in stone as the plot for Prometheus 2 is still being worked on. But as of right now, this news is confirmed by the very reliable resource.

The Easter Eggs You Missed In Gotham

Gotham TV series made a good debut last Monday night with most of the villains being on the spotlight. It’s a story explicitly not intended to be a Batman origin story, but rather a series about Detective James Gordon (Ben McKenzie), and a chance to re-imagine the most iconic villains that Gotham City ever spewed out.

Now the series has earned more than a fair share of positive buzz and momentum going into the Fall 2014 season, this series also received great reviews from critics. there will be plenty of minor spoilers concerning the cast in our list of Gotham Easter Eggs You Might Have Missed.

Selina Kyle a.k.a. Catwoman( Camren Bicondova )

Despite Jim Gordon and Bruce Wayne attracting the most attention, it is actually Selina Kyle (Camren Bicondova) who first appears onscreen. Although the character is still years away from adopting the costume and moniker of Catwoman, her love of theft, acrobatics, and felines is visible even at an early age.

Harvey Bullock ( Donal Logue )

Audiences have come to expect Gordon's partner as dirty, dim-witted acting detective. While that seems to describe Harvey Bullock (Donal Logue) at the outset, the character has appeared dramatically different from the comics. In the comic version of Harvey Bullock, he is a corrupt police, Bullock would have a change of heart, going on to not only save Jim Gordon’s life, but in Gotham version, he is ‘the good detective’ people could trust.

Alfred Pennyworth ( Sean Pertwee )

What would happen to Bruce Wayne without his butler, Alfred Pennyworth ( Sean Pertwee ). But all the viewers will notice that this kind of Alfred, is a tougher one.

Viewers might not expect exactly the warm and comforting Alfred, but certainly not the first time the butler has been given something of an edge (Geoff Johns’ “Batman: Earth One,” for instance).

Ed nygma a.k.a. The Riddler ( Corey Michael Smith )

It’s a hard cameo to miss, but it looks like not all of Gotham’s villains will originate on the streets. In the case of Ed nygma a.k.a. The Riddler ( Corey Michael Smith ), the villain began his obsessions with riddles in the city’s own crime lab. For now, we can only guess what mysteries lie in that scribble-filled notebook he holds, but it’s obvious Gordon’s wit has his attention already.

Oswald Cobblepot a.k.a. The Penguin (Robin Taylor)

Audiences can assume that Oswald Cobblepot (Robin Taylor) got the nickname of ‘Penguin’ thanks to his formal attire, but by the end of the episode, it’s taken on a whole new meaning. Viewers only get a brief look at the damage done by Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett Smith), but Cobblepot seems doomed to waddle as his nickname would suggest, thanks to some badly-beaten legs. We assume that umbrella will return in the near future.

Poison Ivy

Another reference hard to miss for anyone paying attention, the young girl Gordon and Bullock first encounter when arriving at Mario Pepper’s apartment should stand out. If the showrunners hadn’t confirmed that Ivy Pepper ( Clare Foley ) would grow up to become Poison Ivy, her interest in houseplants would make the point clear (along with her ill will towards the police).
Comic fans will be quick to point out that Ivy’s actual name was ‘Dr. Pamela Isley,’ but series creator Bruno Heller has explained that the girl is just the first of many changes to comic book origins that the writers will be making.

James Gordon ( Ben Mckenzie )

Ben Mckenzie will be playing our main character of this series, James Gordon. The commissioners of the Gotham Police was considered as a huge character in the comics, and he works with Batman quite a bit.

Bruce Wayne ( David Mazzouz )

David Mazzouz ( the young boy ) will be playing the role Bruce Wayne in this series. Many people thought he was just a little kid and they wouldnt see him again, they were wrong, This may have been the best Easter Egg of the night. According to romours, Bruce Wayne will becomes Batman in this series.Well we are getting the origins of this character , something DC may have told only once, or twice.
That little boy in that episode last night?  Bet you thought he was just a little kid and you wouldn't see him again, right? WRONG!  This may have been the best Easter Egg of the night.  Now, I don't want to ruin things for you, but SPOILER ALERT: Bruce Wayne becomes Batman.  Cool, right?!  I know what you're thinking: but he was just a little boy in last night's episode?  Well we are getting the origins for this character...something DC may have told only once (MAYBE twice).  But don't worry...I'm sure Batman is coming. - See more at: http://www.geekrex.com/2014/09/10-amazing-easter-eggs-you-missed.html#sthash.Vh7leR3S.dpuf

Bruce Wayne's Parents

Now, I thought it was pretty neat-o that we were getting Bruce Wayne's origins for the very first time, but Gotham had an amazing call back to Detective Comics #27 by showing Bruce Wayne's parents: Thomas and Martha Wayne!  These characters are rarely mentioned in the comics these days, so you really had to be a big comic book nerd to spot what Gotham was referencing here.  Hopefully this isn't the last time this show will mention these characters as we really don't know anything about them. - See more at: http://www.geekrex.com/2014/09/10-amazing-easter-eggs-you-missed.html#sthash.8CMeuHdm.dpuf

Gotham City Police Department

We had several scenes take place in a pretty big place where Bullock and Gordon work.  Did you notice what it was?  Don't worry, I was watching too!  It was the Gotham City Police Department!  Now they play a pretty big role in the comics, mostly because they end up having the Bat Signal on their roof!  I really hope we see just, like, a regular spotlight on their roof next week, I just think that would be a mind-blowing way to reference yet another origin story for this series.

‘The Avengers: Age of Ultron’ Details

The Avengers left a big legacy to live up to. Next year director the director of this movies, Joss Whedon will attempt to match or even beat his own record with sequel The Avengers: Age of Ultron, in which the superhero team will face off against a new threat: the indomitable android Utron (James Spader). The Avanger : Age Of Ultron will released in theaters on 1st May 2015. Currently the plot details are limited, but the powerful sibling duo Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) will be joining the fray,

Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man will be leading the team, according to report, the former Stark Tower is left with its single “A” and becomes the new headquarters for the team, as well as the central hub for global security. Tony Stark will fund new costumes for the team, a new Quinjet, and new tech. That new tech will include an army of Iron Man drones similar to those used in Iron Man 3.

According to source, The Avanger : Age Of Ultron won’t waste time retreading the exhausting process of getting the group of strong personalities to work together as a team again. An opening battle near the start of the film will provide the first “hero shot” of everyone together as they take on Baron Von Strucker (Thomas Kretschmann) and encounter the twins for the first time.

In this movie, Tony Stark has designed costumes for everyone that all feauture an Avengers logo, to symbolize their status as a proper team. Black Widow has been gifted two new batons with the ability to shock enemies into submission, Hulk has been given some stretchy pants , and Hawkeye will be covering up his guns with long-sleeved jacket, also seen in set photos.

the fans of the movies came up with a question, why have one Ultron when you can have more Ultron?, There will apparently be three different versions of Ultron featured in The Avengers: Age of Ultron as he switch from a base original state to something much more advanced. He is coated in Vibranium and spends much of the movie seeking out more raw materials in order to continually upgrade. At least one version of Ultron will be mo-capped by Spader.

Paul Bettany, who has played Tony Stark’s friendly artificial intelligence system J.A.R.V.I.S. in the movies so far, will be getting an upgrade in this movie to become Vision, an android and member of the Avengers in the comics. According to this report, Vision will not make his appearance until the third act of the movie, suggesting that he may be something of a secret weapon for the Avengers when all their usual methods of attack fail against Ultron.

Although all these details are rumor just for now, they definitely do seem to fit with the glimpses of The Avengers: Age of Ultron that we’ve seen in set photos so far. It makes sense that Marvel would want to maintain Tony Stark as leader, and it will be satisfying to see the Avengers organising themselves now that they’re out from under S.H.I.E.L.D..
